This page collects projects and portfolio pieces both current and past. Although I've been working with the Web one way or another since 1994, it's only in the last six months that I began to take Web development seriously, as I was excited by the advent of technologies like AJAX that allow for rich internet applications instead of flat brochures.

At the beginning of this year I enrolled at Digital Bootcamp, emphasizing Web 2.0-oriented development through learning PHP, AJAX, JavaScript, and Ruby on Rails. Since "rebooting" my interest in the Web recently, I have begun doing freelance HTML/CSS coding work, which I hope to expand into freelance Web development work as my program continues.

I'm also an electronic musician, DJ, and events promoter. I compose melodic, pretty and somewhat 80's-influenced music as Emulsion. I also spin under the Emulsion name, with sets that range from deep ambient or minimal techno through experimental or melodic IDM but with the occasional foray into electro—past and present. Finally, as a promoter I work with Liz Revision (better known as Quantazelle) putting on Ramp Chicago at Sonotheque, the only monthly event in Chicago devoted to live and interesting electronic music.
